Gender injustice and religious intolerance remain persistent challenges in Indonesian society, and church leaders are increasingly called to respond prophetically within digital spaces. This article aims to construct a theological paradigm for Indonesian church leadership grounded in Emmanuel Levinas's ethics of the face. This study employs a critical literature review with a Levinasian ethical phenomenology approach, analyzing Levinas's texts, Galatians 3:28, and Indonesian literature on gender, patriarchy, and digital culture. The analysis proceeds through four steps of ethical hermeneutics: identification of the face, analysis of the ethical demand, critique of totalization, and construction of praxis. The findings indicate that Levinasian ethics—centered on the face of the Other, asymmetrical responsibility, and substitution—provides a robust theological foundation for leadership that prioritizes the vulnerable, resists patriarchal and intolerant structures, and engages digital spaces as sites of ethical encounter. The article concludes that "leadership that sees the face" is both a spiritual vocation and a moral imperative, requiring advocacy for gender justice, interfaith dialogue, and ethical digital engagement. The study's contribution is to offer a new methodological framework—Levinasian Ethical Hermeneutics—that integrates Levinasian philosophy, gender justice, and digital theology in the context of Indonesian church leadership.
