Today, technology and information are growing at a rapid pace, allowing us to obtain important
information, especially in the field of education. In this new era of human interaction, people use
innovative information and communication networks. One type of media that can be incorporated in
learning is the use of YouTube. The purpose of this study is to show how YouTube can be used as a
learning medium. This is a qualitative study with a sample size of UKI Toraja Educational Technology
students. The purpose of this study is to use YouTube as a learning tool for students, as it is currently the
main goal of the millennial generation to find educational content in the form of videos, thereby promoting
creativity and quality in each student. The use of social media YouTube is included in the social
networking application that is widely activated. Using YouTube to reach 1 million users will make it much
easier to develop digital skills. YouTube is now the main destination for the general public, especially the
younger generation or UKI Toraja Educational Technology students, to find various types of content in
the form of videos, such as educational content or other types of content. Digital literacy is growing
thanks to YouTube, which is more accessible in everyday life. As a result, the role of technology teachers
in advancing digital skills is crucial. Related to the creation of content that they access or create, as well
as the development of digital literacy through YouTube media, which is often accessed in everyday life,
encourages this research to recommend the use of YouTube as a media tool in the learning process.
