Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dan teknologi siswa melalui implementasi Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis kearifan lokal dengan pemanfaatan ampas kopi sebagai bio-baterai. Metode yang digunakan adalah service learning dengan tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Dimembe. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest, observasi, serta evaluasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor kemampuan dari 20–55 pada tes awal menjadi 60–95 pada tes akhir. Seluruh siswa mengalami peningkatan, dengan beberapa mencapai skor mendekati 95. Selain peningkatan kognitif, siswa juga menunjukkan perkembangan sikap positif seperti motivasi, kedisiplinan, dan tanggung jawab. PjBL juga memperkuat keterampilan kolaborasi, komunikasi, serta kesadaran lingkungan melalui pemanfaatan limbah lokal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa PjBL berbasis kearifan lokal tidak hanya efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar tetapi juga relevan dengan tujuan Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lebih lanjut dengan pendekatan kuantitatif inferensial untuk memperkuat generalisasi.
