Abstract

By using PowerPoint-based learning, this project seeks to increase third-grade pupils at MI DDI Batu Bessi's motivation to learn. The low learning motivation of students, which is typified by inattention, low activity, and little student participation during the learning process, forms the basis of this study. The employment of traditional teaching techniques and the underutilization of engaging learning resources are two factors contributing to this situation. This study employed a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) strategy using the Kemmis and McTaggart paradigm. Twenty-two third-graders at MI DDI Batu Bessi served as the research subjects. Planning, action execution, observation, and reflection were all incorporated in each cycle. Learning documentation, teacher and student activity observation sheets, and student learning motivation surveys were used to gather data. To ascertain how student learning motivation changed during each cycle, descriptive quantitative and qualitative data analysis was performed. The findings demonstrated that using PowerPoint materials in the classroom could progressively raise students' motivation to study. While not at its best, student learning motivation started to rise in cycle I. Following cycle II's enhancements, student learning motivation rose dramatically and fell into the high range. Pupils seemed more eager, attentive, and involved in their education. Based on these findings, it can be said that using PowerPoint materials is a successful alternative teaching strategy for raising class III students' motivation to learn at MI DDI Batu Bessi.
