Analisis Dampak Pendidikan Karakter dalam Pembentukan Moral Peserta Didik SDN 140 Pekanbaru

The purpose of this qualitative study was to determine how character education impacts the formation of students' morals at SDN 140 Pekanbaru. The background of this study is how important character education is to shape students' personalities, which are based on moral principles such as integrity, responsibility, and discipline. With research subjects consisting of teachers, students, and parents, data collection methods include documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews. The results of the study indicate that character education implemented in schools has not been fully effective in instilling students' moral values. This can be seen from the low discipline and responsibility of students in their daily lives both at school and at home. Supporting factors for the implementation of character education include teacher role models, a conducive school environment, and parental involvement. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are weak supervision, lack of consistency in the application of character values, and minimal training for teachers in character education. This study recommends the need for synergy between schools and families to strengthen the process of forming students' character comprehensively and sustainably.
