Author Guidelines

The article proposed to publish in TEFL Overseas should meet the requirements below:

It is the result of a research or deep analysis of phenomena on English language and art and/or language instruction of English;

It is written in English only;

It is typed on A4 paper, one and half space, font Times New Roman 11 ft, 10 to 15 pages, MS Word Program; and a single page model, and normal margin;

Cover: article title, name of writer, email address of the writer, affiliation (first page); abstract, and key words (second page); the third page and so fort consist of introduction paragraph (with or without subtitle); research method, result, conclusion and suggestion, references, and writer’s profile.

The title should be brief (not more than 20 words), reflects the content of the article;

Abstract and key words are written in English;

Abstract consists of 100-200 words; key words consist of maximum 5 words, in a separate line after the abstract, arranged alphabetically;

TITLE, METHOD, RESULT, CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION, REFERENCES, AND WRITER’S PROFILE ARE WRITTEN IN UPPERCASE;

LEVEL ONE: ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, CENTER JUSTIFICATION

Level Two   : Capitals-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification

Level Three : Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification

Subtlest are written in Capitalize Each Word and no flush right; 

The introduction paragraph covers background, problems, and objectives of the article or Research Question;

Research method explains participant/ subject /, design or technique, instrument, and data collecting technique and data analysis;

Result explains the finding, interpretation, and relates the result with previous research result (if any);

Conclusion presents the final judgement of the writer toward the result of the research;

All in-text citation and references refer to APA style manual publication 6th edition 2009;

Reference displays the book or other sources quoted in the article are arranged alphabetically;

Three exemplars are sent to the editors (write clearly and completely the writer’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail, and fax (if any);

Author can get the printed version by requesting to tefloukit@gmail.com to send via ground mail and thus complete address is required; additional mailing charge may be applied depending on distance of address.

When the article is published, the writer should contribute IDR 300.000 for the development of the journal and he has right to get 2 copies of the printed current publication with his article in it;

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced or one and half spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
